Regeneration of the Grand Canal

The Gran Canal regeneration project aims to connect previously separated neighborhoods, creating recreational spaces, green areas, and zones for water collection and treatment for use in the project and its surroundings. Through an intensity analysis of the area, compatibilities for new activities and potential reinforcement and complementary interventions were identified.

Water treatment is based on sedimentation of solids, equalization tanks, anoxic tanks, wetlands, aerated lagoons, and sand filters. Additionally, purification is achieved through specific algae and plants (eco machine), providing the necessary water for the project and its surroundings.
